I am Casey. I am 31 years old, Chinese American, a woman, a mother and a wife living in the San Francisco Bay Area - East Bay - California. I am originally from New York City, and have lived in Chicago, IL; western Massachusetts; subsubsuburban Connecticut, and rural western Virginia. I am politically and socially liberal, am unhealthily fond of Jamba Juice (Peach Pleasure, thanks) and diet Pepsi. I love not owning a car (although I cried a little when we sold our last car) and I love using public transportation even more.
I am married to Josh. We got married on June 26, 2004 in Northampton, Massachusetts, after having dated since August of 2001. He is a pretty funny guy, and as I like to say, “The best girlfriend I’ve ever had.”
I am the mama to Matthew, our son. He was born on July 14, 2006 at 2:21PM. He is an amazing little person. He experiences and exhibits the full range of human emotion, and does so loudly. He is a terror on (mostly) two legs, and despite divebombing our poor, lazy, dumb dog, she comes back for more, because she, like us, loves her boy. Matthew was breastfed for 14 1/2 months, and is healthy, and vibrant.
TECHNICAL
This site is created using a theme-in-a-box from Randa Clay. The software is WordPress. The hosting is via dreamhost.com.
I am a Mac-friendly girl. I have an intel iMac in a box (it didn’t quite entirely survive the trip out west), and right now I’m using a PowerBook G4. Pretty, friendly machines. I used a Canon digital elph (S200) to take pictures, but graduated to a big girl camera, a Canon Digital Rebel XT; and a flip video camera to take digital movies.
COMMENT POLICY
Cribbed from Dreama. Thanks, darlin’.
- Comments are moderated, either by me or by the spam thing so if you want to tell the world about your cialis and/or viagra, say sayonara to your comment. Comments that make it through the spam filter will be held for moderation until I approve it. Afterward, they should generally slip through without being held for moderation the first time.
- I will approve pretty much anything that is on-topic and respectful. You’ll find I approve entirely way more than I don’t.
- If you disagree with what I have to say, fine. I’m glad you have an opinion. The best way to voice that is on your own blog. I don’t have to pay for people to call me hysterical.
- I don’t like obnoxious and trollish discourse. I’m sure there are plenty of places online who will gladly accommodate your needs. This place isn’t one of them.
- I log IP addresses of all visitors and commenters. I know how to use them, too.
- I reserve the right to change my mind and edit this as I see fit.
Also, cribbed from Amalah. Thanks to you too!
Any comment that’s rude or annoying, illegible (grammar and spelling are your friends, people), or any and none of the above will be deleted. The constitution of the US guarantees you freedom of speech, not me. Read up.
