day 111: I may die now, but it will be as a happy woman
My summer is pretty much set. I’m taking two research collaborations this summer and just got an assistantship working on a pretty cool project so I’m on an academic high. I’m totally stoked about my own research, which is starting to well and truly take shape. Amazing what a year in a PhD program will do for you – kick you around, beat you up, and leave you feeling a smidge smarter than when you first started.
Just a smidge, though, don’t want my head to get big or anything.
Today, two presentations and a paper. I should really be in bed now but I’m not. Alas. I got a new-to-me camera in the mail, the Canon EOS 3, a pro film body. The battery was dead, so I headed out to Walmart to pick up a new battery for it and ended up getting stuff for the kids’ easter baskets.
Pictures I took today: the bright Staples sign when I ran in to buy some golf pencils for Josh’s class to have something to write their evaluations with, and somehow ended up with new pens. Oops. Also, a portrait of me and Josh.
